CASA RETIRO O1

With this project we intend to breathe air back into this once bustling structure, and transform it into a collaborative space for musicians and artists by revatilizing the existing architectural structure and connecting it with the surrounding landscape. This project is located in the beautiful mountains of Corozal, giving it its secluded and private nature to enhance the creativity and collaboration of those who will inhabit its spaces.

SABANERA

The design approach to this project intends to provide a sense of tranquility, warmth, and luxury through the design of a combination of open terraces and outdoor spaces to foster a connection with the natural surroundings. The sensation of horizontality of the architectural elements frames the view of the lake and the mogotes, connecting the architecture with the different hues and sensations of the tropical landscape.

UMBRAL BPPR

We wanted to revitalize this exterior corridor without straying too far from the space's original design. We used wood as the primary material and designed a coffered ceiling to convey elegance and timelessness while preserving a connection to the material and "look and feel" of the original design. Inside of the coffered ceiling’s hollow spaces, warm lighting is placed to illuminate the exterior during the night and provide a feeling of safety and tranquility.
